Plane Air first began three years ago when Kim Fawvor decided he wanted to have his wife travel with him in his RV6. His wife is a cancer survivor and noticed the discomfort of the heat in the RV. Plane Air is located in South Louisiana and everyone who has flown in the southern United States knows how hot the cabin can get with a glass canopy. After searching endlessly to find an answer it didn't take long to realize that there was no answer to be found, at least that he could find on the current market. For the first year of the concept it was a tough one, anyone who has flown a RV knows there is not much room for accessories especially air conditions. After trial and error Kim finally came up with a unit that actually served its purpose, he had built an air condition that cooled the cabin down to a comfortable environment for his wife to join him on his adventures. Like most people, we enjoy flying at lower altitudes to stay away from getting light headed from less oxygen. Blake Broussard finally took a ride in the RV6 and was amazed at how the unit cooled the cabin down. Blake had flown in many newly certified aircraft with certified air conditioned and realized he had built a great product. Blake's background is Business Development and told Kim that if he could make his air condition a plug and play system that there would be a demand for air conditions in small experimental aircraft. So for the past two years we have been flying with a true plug and play air condition! After many fly-ins in Texas and Louisiana it was noticeable that many RV owners wanted to enjoy flight as Blake and Kim were and wanted an air condition in their's. Kim and Blake decided to open Plane Air and share what they had come to enjoy over the past few years.
